MAZDA3 2009 Styles
The Mazda3 has been a sporty alternative for compact-car buyers since it debuted for the 2004 model year. The compact, built on the same platform as Volvo S40, FWD Mazda3 is a compact premium sports car. MAZDA3 i sedan holds a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine, and Mazda3 s sedan and hatchback hold a more powerful 2.3-liter. Models include s Sport, i Sport, s Touring and s Grand Touring, i Touring Value. Competitors are Volkswagen Jetta, Honda Civic, Kia Forte, and Toyota Corolla.
The redesigned Mazda3 will impress driving enthusiasts, and it improves upon its predecessors in a number of other areas. If I were in the market, it would be high on my list. But these days, my backbone does as much as my right foot to sway my opinion — and I have to concede that Mazda doesn't have the most comfortable small car out there.
