2011 Kia Sorento Styles
The 2011 Sorento moves to a car-based crossover platform with up to three rows from a truck-based SUV platform with two rows of seats. This also marks the first year the Sorento will offer a 4-cylinder engine. In Kia's lineup, the Sorento sits between the three-row, truck-based Borrego and the compact Sportage crossover. It competes roughly with smaller crossovers that also offer a third row, like the Toyota RAV4, Mitsubishi Outlander and Dodge Journey.
Trim levels include the base, EX and LX. Base models come with a stick shift and the four-cylinder. The EX and LX have a standard automatic, and the EX offers an optional V-6. AWD is optional on the EX and LX.
